Another Take on the Battle of the Ergs

Read the comment to the last C2 post for another take on the static vs. dynamic erg controversy. (Unfortunately, I also reveal my ignorance.)

Also, thanks to Rebecca Caroe in the UK, this FITD discussion has been noted and is running in parallel in rec.sport.rowing. It doesn't appear that this subject is new to the participants in that discussion, but they bring yet another dimension to the whole thing.
